Who We Are
IKIGU Foundation is a Uganda-based nonprofit organization committed to transforming lives by empowering individuals and strengthening communities through sustainable development. We believe that every person deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, educated, and dignified life, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Working hand in hand with communities, we deliver impactful programs in healthcare, education, youth and women empowerment, community development, environmental conservation, human rights, research, and strategic partnerships. At the heart of our health initiatives is the prevention, management, and awareness of diabetes, ensuring that vulnerable populations have access to the knowledge, care, and support they need.
Driven by compassion, innovation, and collaboration, IKIGU Foundation partners with local communities, government institutions, schools, and development organizations to create lasting solutions that improve livelihoods and inspire hope. Together, we are building healthier, more resilient communities across Uganda where everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.

Ikigu Foundation is a community-driven, non-profit organisation committed to improving lives through sustainable solutions in health, education, community development, environmental conservation, human rights, and economic empowerment. We work closely with communities, government institutions, schools, and development partners to create opportunities that promote dignity, equality, resilience, and sustainable development.
Through our programmes, we promote quality healthcare, support access to education, empower youth and women with practical skills and entrepreneurship opportunities, strengthen community livelihoods, protect the environment, advocate for human rights, and advance research and innovation. By fostering strong partnerships and community participation, we strive to build healthier, more inclusive, and sustainable communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
